Mike Nebrich threw for 435 yards and matched a career best with four touchdowns as Fordham rolled over Columbia 49-7 on Saturday.
The Rams (3-1) racked up 635 yards of offense with Nebrich completing 32 of 48 passes and touchdown strikes to Dan Light, Chase Edmonds and a pair to Tebucky Jones.
Columbia, playing in its season opener, was held to 165 yards offense and avoided a shutout when Brett Nottingham found John Hunton for a 29-yard scoring pass in the final 25 seconds.
Fordham scored twice in the opening quarter when Mike Marando kicked field goals of 24 and 46 yards, the latter preserving a 13-play drive that covered just 46 yards.
Nebrich opened the throttle on the first drive in the second quarter, completing seven passes and adding a short run to drive Fordham 87 yards in 10 plays with a TD and 2-point conversion pass to Light.
