Nationals' Harper slams into wall, leaves game

Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper left Monday's contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers after colliding head first with the right field scoreboard in the fifth inning.

Harper was injured while trying to chase down a fly ball off the bat of Los Angeles' A.J. Ellis. He was unable to make the play and the hit went for a triple, as Harper laid motionless on the warning track after the collision.

Trainers immediately went to his aid. After several moments, Harper was able to get up under his own power and leave the playing field.

He had a hit, two walks and two runs scored before exiting.
