Ankiel hit .239 with nine home runs and 37 runs batted in 122 games with the Washington Nationals last season.
A second round pick by the Cardinals in 1997, Ankiel began his career as a pitcher, but struggled with control issues and switched to outfield in 2005. After working on his skills in the minor leagues, Ankiel made his outfield debut in August of 2007 for the Cards.
For his career, the former hurler boasts a .246 average with 64 homers and 218 RBI in nine seasons in the majors.
Teahen played in a combined 78 games with the White Sox and Blue Jays last year, batting .200 with four home runs and 14 RBI.
In seven seasons, the former first-round pick of the A's has a .264 batting average with 67 home runs and 332 runs batted in as a member for the Royals, White Sox and Blue Jays.
