Two plays into New Mexico's next possession, Romell Jordan ran 72 yards for a Lobos touchdown. A Myers scoring pass to Wyatt Houston followed and the Aggies had a 21-14 advantage at the break.

Natson ran 48 yards for another Utah State score in the third to make it 28-14.

Lamar Jordan threw for 154 yards and a score for the Lobos (3-7, 1-5). His 59-yard pass to Tyler Duncan brought New Mexico to within seven with 4:17 remaining.
