The setting might be new for forward Matt Moulson, now that he's a member of the Buffalo Sabres. The uncertainty about his future beyond this season hasn't changed.
A day after being acquired in a trade with the New York Islanders, Moulson arrived in Buffalo on Monday unsure of whether this would be his last stop this season. In the final year of his contract, Moulson is aware the rebuilding Sabres could eventually deem him more valuable as trade bait.
Whatever happens, the three-time, 30-goal scorer says he's focused on helping the Sabres win.
Moulson was set to make his debut on Buffalo's top line Monday night when the Sabres (2-10-1) host Dallas (4-5-1).
Buffalo acquired Moulson and two draft picks in trading Thomas Vanek to the Islanders.
