James Morrison posted a 2-round total of 8-under 131 on Monday to earn medalist honors at the International Final Qualifying event for the Open Championship.
"I was fighting a few demons the last few holes," said Morrison, who finished bogey-bogey to miss out by one last year.
Sam Walker, who won on the European Challenge Tour Sunday, finished at 6-under 133 to finish second and get one of the 10 available spots in the field in a few weeks at Royal Lytham and St. Annes.
Marcus Fraser, who lost a playoff to Danny Willett on Sunday at the BMW International Open, tied for third at minus-5.
Alejandro Canizares, Richard Finch, Matthew Baldwin, Jamie Donaldson and Ross Fisher joined Fraser in third at the Sunningdale New Course.
There was a 5-man playoff for the final two spots and Lee Slattery and Thorbjorn Olesen advanced. Oliver Fisher, Alastair Forsyth and Oscar Floren missed out on a chance at the claret jug.
Willett, Colin Montgomerie and European Ryder Cup captain Jose Maria Olazabal also failed to qualify.
