WORCESTER, Mass. – Austin Morgan scored 17 points, including a three-point play with 7 seconds left in overtime to lift Yale over Holy Cross 77-76 on Wednesday night.
The Bulldogs (6-7) trailed 76-72 with 30 seconds to go before Porter Braswell's layup made it 76-74 with 21 seconds to play.
Andrew Beinert then missed two free throws for the Crusaders (1-13) with 18 seconds left and teammate Mike Cavataio fouled Morgan nine seconds later.
Yale trailed 28-23 at halftime and shot 68 percent in the second half (17 of 25) in handing Holy Cross its fifth straight loss.
Greg Mangano had 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Bulldogs. Braswell finished with 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting and Jeremiah Kreisberg added 12 points for Yale.
Devin Brown, who led the Crusaders with 33 points, made a layup with 1 second remaining in regulation to send it into overtime, 63-63.
