Moffat joins FC Dallas

Frisco, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - FC Dallas has acquired veteran defensive midfielder Adam Moffat from Seattle Sounders FC in exchange for allocation money and the rights to negotiate a contract with Kenny Cooper, the club announced Friday.

Moffat, 27, set career-highs with 26 appearances, 24 starts and three goals for the Houston Dynamo in 2013 before being traded to Seattle in September.

The seven-year MLS veteran has logged 116 appearances, 12 goals and six assists during his time with the Columbus Crew, Portland Timbers, Dynamo and Sounders.
