MLB All-Star team to play in Taiwan
New York, NY – A team of Major League Baseball stars will play five games in Taiwan this November.
Each game will feature the MLB team playing the Chinese Taipei national team from November 2 through November 6 in a three-city tour.
A full roster of players and staff will be announced by Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association in October.
"Major League Baseball is excited to take another important step in showcasing our great game to Taiwan, continuing our objective to bring baseball to fans throughout the world," said commissioner Bud Selig in a statement. "We are pleased that many fine players will represent Major League Baseball when they meet the top talents of Taiwan."
There are currently 28 players from Taiwan in major league organizations, including two on big league rosters.
