Milwaukee Wave defender Joe Hammes was named the Major Indoor Soccer League's Player of the Week for Week 6 on Tuesday.
Hammes had a seven-point match as the Wave maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 24-9 win over the Rochester Lancers on Saturday night. The Wave are 6-0 this season, and the only unbeaten remaining in the league.
The Missouri Comets opened the week's action with a 12-10 win over Baltimore, as the Blast suffered just their second loss of the season Friday.
Also Saturday, Baltimore fell again as it lost to the Syracuse Silver Knights, 12-9, and Missouri picked up its second win of the weekend with a 15-4 result over the Norfolk SharX.
The league continues Friday when Missouri plays Baltimore and Milwaukee plays Wichita. Rochester plays Syracuse in Saturday's lone match, and Norfolk plays Baltimore in Sunday's lone game.
