PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - Quarterback Michael Vick, big-play receiver DeSean Jackson and ball-hawking defensive back Asante Samuel are among a flock of Philadelphia Eagles rested and ready to go for Sunday's playoff game, coach Andy Reid said on Monday.
The Eagles kept their nicked-up regulars on the bench during Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys with an eye toward a full-scale battle with the Green Bay Packers on January 9.
"DeSean (Jackson), (tackle) Winston (Justice), (defensive tackle) Trevor (Laws), Asante (Samuel), Michael (Vick), they're all ready to go," Reid told reporters.
Reid said Vick had a chance to heal a severe leg bruise he suffered against the Minnesota Vikings last week and was able to get in a little preparation time on the Packers.
"I feel a lot better, getting the chance to rehab and focus on getting my leg better," Vick, a double-threat with his running ability and rifle arm, said Monday. "Time off has been great."
The Eagles (10-6) fell 27-20 to the visiting Packers (10-6) in their season-opening game on September 12.
Kevin Kolb, who began the season as starting quarterback for Philadelphia, left due to a concussion and Vick came on and rallied the Eagles back from a 20-3 deficit to make it close.
"We know it's going to be a different packages now," Vick said about whether he would be able to draw on that game as he prepares for his first postseason action since 2004. "We just have to be ready to play our game."
Vick said there was no problem getting up for the game.
Some health concerns, however, still hung over the NFC East champions as guard Max Jean-Gilles (sprained ankle) and linebacker Stewart Bradley (dislocated elbow) were not fully fit, Reid said.
