New York Mets starting pitcher Matt Harvey was voted the National League Pitcher of the Month for April.
Harvey recorded four victories (4-0) in six April starts, his 1.56 ERA ranked third, and his 46 strikeouts tied for fourth in the NL.
Harvey became the first pitcher in the modern era to win his first four starts while allowing 10-of-fewer hits in that span.
Other pitchers receiving votes included Pittsburgh Pirates reliever Jason Grilli (0.82 ERA, 10 SV, 17 SO, 11.0 IP); San Francisco Giants starter Madison Bumgarner (3-0, 1.55 ERA, 36 SO, 40.2 IP); Adam Wainwright (4-2, 2.03 ERA, 43 SO, 44.1 IP) of the St. Louis Cardinals; and Washington Nationals starter Jordan Zimmermann (4-1, 2.00 ERA, 19 SO, 36.0 IP).
