New York, NY – Forward Carmelo Anthony will return to the New York Knicks lineup Monday against New Jersey after missing seven games with a groin injury.
Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni announced Anthony's return Monday.
Anthony, 27, was averaging a team-best 22.3 points with 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 22 games before straining his right groin against the Utah Jazz on February 6.
The Knicks have gone 6-1 in Anthony's absence, largely due to surprise sensation Jeremy Lin.
Anthony has also battled through ankle, thumb and wrist injuries this season. He has missed 10 games in total.
