McFadden, Lewis, Lindell selected as AFC's top players

Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis and Buffalo Bills kicker Rian Lindell have been selected as the AFC's top players for Week 3 of the NFL season.

McFadden captured the offensive award, ending a two-week reign by New England's Tom Brady. The fourth-year running back gained 171 yards on 19 carries and scored two touchdowns in Oakland's 34-24 home win over the New York Jets.

Lewis earned his eighth career defensive player of the week award after registering a team-high 10 tackles and forcing a fumble on a sack in Baltimore's resounding 37-7 win at St. Louis.

Lindell converted a 28-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Bills to a 34-31 home win over the Patriots. The victory was Buffalo's first against New England since September 7, 2003, snapping a 15-game losing streak.
