Mallorca announced its second summer signing on Tuesday, revealing that midfielder Javi Marquez has joined the club on a four-year deal.

Marquez makes the switch to Mallorca from Espanyol after coming up through the youth system of the Catalan club. The 26-year-old made 53 appearances with the Espanyol first-team, recording three goals.

"There have been plenty of expectations following my signing," Marquez said of the move. "I am very grateful to Mallorca for the trust they have placed in me, I am very happy to be involved in this project and I hope I can be at my best and that we play some good football in the coming seasons."
