Marlins finalize 2012 coaching staff
Miami, FL – The Marlins announced on Tuesday that the club has finalized its coaching staff for manager Ozzie Guillen.
Returning to the staff will be pitching coach Randy St. Claire, hitting coach Eduardo Perez, third base coach Joe Espada and bullpen coach Reid Cornelius.
New additions are bench coach Joey Cora and first base coach Gary Thurman.
In addition, Jeffrey Urgelles will return as the club's bullpen coordinator.
Cora joins the Marlins after eight years with the White Sox, including the previous five as bench coach for Guillen.
Thurman spent the last four seasons as the Cleveland Indians' minor league outfield and baserunning coordinator.
Guillen, who had previously managed the ChiSox, was hired on September 28 and agreed to a four-year deal worth a reported $10 million.
The Marlins will feature a new name, new branding and debut a new stadium next season.
