Seattle Mariners right fielder Michael Morse left Tuesday's 6-1 loss to the San Diego Padres with a right quad strain.

Morse suffered the injury in the fourth inning after attempting to score from first base on Michael Saunders' double to right-center field. Morse labored his way down the third base line and was easily thrown out.

The 31-year-old slugger limped off the field and was replaced by Jason Bay.

He is considered day-to-day.
