Toronto, ON – The Toronto Maple Leafs and defenseman Luke year contract Friday.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but the Toronto Star reported the contract is worth $18 million.
The fifth overall pick by Toronto in the 2008 draft, Schenn established career highs last season with 82 games played, 17 assists and 22 points.
He also led the Leafs with 168 blocked shots and has led Toronto in hits for the past three seasons.
The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native has played in 231 career games, recording 12 goals, 41 assists and 155 penalty minutes.
