Mallorca moved off the bottom of La Liga on Monday as Tomer Hemed's 21st-minute goal was enough to hand the club a 1-0 home victory over Real Betis.
The home side came out firing in the first half and nearly went in front after 10 minutes when Hemed struck the crossbar on the rebound of a shot from Victor.
That duo played a role in Mallorca seizing the lead 11 minutes later as more sustained pressure from the hosts led to the only goal of the contest.
Victor's shot from inside the penalty area was saved by Betis goalkeeper Adrian Castillo, but the rebound was fired home by Hemed, who was left alone in front of the net.
Betis recovered from a poor first half to play a much better second 45 minutes, but the visitors still only managed to put two shots on goal and they remain in seventh place.
Mallorca moves to 19th in La Liga but sits just three points from safety with two matches to play.
