Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Rob Lovejoy found the back of the net and added an assist on Saturday as the Houston Dynamo claimed a 3-0 victory over the Montreal Impact at BBVA Compass Stadium.
Giles Barnes opened the scoring after 15 minutes and Ricardo Clark added the insurance goal with 18 minutes to play before Lovejoy put the icing on the cake with 10 minutes to play as Houston was able to snap a four-match winless streak.
Montreal, meanwhile, continues to struggle in league play despite a run to the CONCACAF Champions League final as Frank Klopas' side is winless in MLS through its first four games.
The hosts collected the first goal of the night when U.S. international Brad Davis swung an excellent left-footed free kick into the box which allowed Barnes to direct his glancing header into the bottom right corner of the net.
Houston added the second goal in the 72nd minute when a strike from Clark took a deflection off a divot in the turf and beat Bush, while Lovejoy finished the rout with a rocket from distance to wrap up all three points in style.
Montreal managed five attempts on target, but never seriously threatened Tyler Deric's goal and suffered their second defeat of the season.
