Louisville, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Louisville forward and key contributor on the 2012-13 national championship team Chane Behanan has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of university policy.

Coach Rick Pitino announced that Behanan is "no longer a part of" the men's basketball team, and the earliest he could rejoin the team is mid-December. Pitino would not go into details on the suspension.

"We set up a situation for him to come back, and he already violated it" Pitino said. "It's multiple things. Don't ask what it is. We're not going to tell you."

Behanan averaged 9.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game during his sophomore year and contributed a 15-point, 12-rebound effort in Louisville's 82-76 championship win over Michigan.
