Liverpool's Aspas out until December

Liverpool, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Liverpool will be without forward Iago Aspas until December because of a thigh injury, the club announced on Friday.

Aspas has appeared in six games this season for Liverpool since joining the club from Celta Vigo over the summer, but a torn thigh muscle sustained in training on Thursday will keep out him of potentially the next five matches.

During that time the Reds will face Arsenal as well as Everton in the Merseyside derby, with the team confirming the injury in a statement saying that Aspas would be "available for a return by the beginning of December."

Liverpool has captured five wins from its first seven games this season to sit tied atop the Premiership with Arsenal and the club will travel to Newcastle on Saturday.
