Lions RB Smith leaves game
Detroit, MI – Detroit Lions running back Kevin Smith left Thursday's game against the Green Bay Packers with a lower leg injury.
Early in the second quarter, Smith hobbled off the field after a reverse play and was later taken into the locker room on the cart.
The reigning NFL offensive player of the week, he ran for a career-high 140 yards on 16 carries and added 61 yards on four receptions and totaled three touchdowns in the Lions' 49-35 comeback win against Carolina.
Also, Lions safety Louis Delmas left the game with a knee injury.
