Allen Park, MI – The Detroit Lions placed running back Jahvid Best on injured reserve because of a concussion, ending his season.
Best missed the last five games with a concussion suffered in a Week 6 loss to San Francisco.
Prior to the injury, the second-year back rushed for 390 yards and two touchdowns, also scoring once on a catch.
The Lions also have running backs Kevin Smith, Maurice Morris and Keiland Williams on the roster, but Smith suffered an ankle injury in Thursday's loss to Green Bay.
