Allen Park, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Detroit Lions and tight end Brandon Pettigrew have agreed to a four-year contract.

According to the club's website, Pettigrew's four-year deal is worth $16 million and the Detroit Free Press said $8 million is guaranteed.

Pettigrew caught just 41 passes for 416 yards last year. He has 284 career receptions for 2,828 yards with 16 touchdowns in five seasons with Detroit.

The Lions selected the Oklahoma State product with the 20th overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft. He had a career-high 83 receptions for 777 yards with five scores in 2011.
