New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Tampa Bay Lightning forward Ryan Callahan was in the lineup for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals against the New York Rangers on Saturday.

Callahan missed Game 6 of the Lightning's second-round series against the Montreal Canadiens after undergoing an emergency appendectomy on Monday. Tampa Bay beat Montreal 4-1 on Tuesday to advance to the conference finals for the first time since 2011.

Callahan was traded by the Rangers to the Lightning at last year's NHL trade deadline. The former New York captain has three assists in 12 games this postseason.

Another former Ranger, forward Brian Boyle, will miss Saturday's series opener with an undisclosed injury.
