Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Mark Fraser was placed on long-term injured reserve on Friday.

Fraser hurt his knee during the team's 3-1 victory at the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday. He was hit by the Flyers' Jay Rosehill during a third-period scrum that started after Fraser had been called for a minor penalty for high- sticking the Flyers' Zac Rinaldo.

The 27-year-old Fraser had eight assists in 45 games for the Maple Leafs last season. The big defender will miss at least 10 games/24 days.

Toronto recalled forward Jamie Devane from the Toronto Marlies (AHL).
