Late Pandiani strike lifts Espanyol

Espanyol earned a dramatic 1-0 win over half substitute Walter Pandiani.

Pandiani collected a rebound at the penalty spot before rifling a shot into the upper corner, past several Getafe defenders who were on the goal line.

The win comes on the back of a 2-1 loss at Real Zaragoza for Espanyol. The club has two wins and two losses from its first four La Liga games this season.

Getafe has yet to record a win from its first four games, sitting second from bottom with just a point on the season.
