Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova has pulled out of the Miami Open, which will begin next Tuesday in Florida.
The world No. 4 left-handed star also skipped the ongoing mandatory WTA event in Indian Wells, citing exhaustion.
"Unfortunately I am still not feeling 100 percent and am therefore disappointed to announce my withdrawal from the Miami Open," Kvitova wrote on her website. "I have always enjoyed playing in Miami so I will be sad not to be there this year."
The 25-year-old Kvitova hopes to be healthy enough to play for the reigning champion Czech Republic in a Fed Cup semifinal against France next month.
