Casablanca, Morocco (SportsNetwork.com) - Second-seeded Slovakian Martin Klizan beat Spaniard Daniel Gimeno-Traver 6-2, 6-2 in Sunday's final at the Grand Prix Hassan II.
Klizan saved all seven break points he faced, including four in the fourth game of the opening set. He held for a 3-1 lead, then broke Gimeno-Traver's serve in the next game.
"I wished to be a champion and today I am," Klizan said. "I am very proud and excited now."
The 25-year-old Klizan captured his third career ATP title. He won in St. Petersburg in 2012 and Munich last year.
Gimeno-Traver, 29, played in the first ATP final of his 10-year career.
"I will always remember this week and I'm very happy that I reached my first final here," Gimeno-Traver said.
