Keane's hat trick helps L.A. storm back vs. RSL

Robbie Keane produced a second-half hat trick to see the Los Angeles Galaxy come from behind and claim a 4-2 victory over Real Salt Lake at the StubHub Center on Saturday.

After a scoreless opening period, the match ignited with three goals coming in the span of 14 minutes.

Real Salt Lake broke the deadlock when Joao Plata latched on to Ned Grabavoy's flick and slotted a shot past Jaime Penedo.

But the Galaxy managed to equalize just three minutes later when Keane skipped past Carlos Salcedo at the top of the box and curled a low shot just inside the far post.

Los Angeles claimed the lead 11 minutes later and it was Keane who did the honors, turning in a low, hard cross from Sean Franklin at the near post to leave Nick Rimando no chance.

Omar Gonzalez made sure of the three points with 15 minutes to go as he nodded home a corner kick delivered by Landon Donovan for his second goal of the season.

Keane added a third for good measure in the 86th minute as the Ireland international got on the end of Franklin's chip and looped a shot over the on- rushing Rimando.

Salt Lake managed to pull one back deep into stoppage time when Robbie Findley turned in a loose ball from close range, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation goal.
