Reading announced Wednesday that it has signed midfielder Jem Karacan to a new deal that will keep him at the Madejski until the summer of 2015.
Karacan, 23, is in his ninth year at Reading having come through the club's academy system.
"I'm delighted to finally get it done, we've been in negotiations for a little while so it's great to put pen to paper," he told the club's official website. "To come through the ranks at Reading has been brilliant. Ever since I arrived here, I've always wanted to become a first team regular and in the last couple of years I've managed to do that."
Karacan has made two appearances this season, though Reading sits second from bottom on one point.
