Lille completed the signing of winger Salomon Kalou on Saturday after he was released last month by Chelsea.

The 26-year-old spent six years in London with the Blues, making 254 appearances and scoring 60 goals, with 107 of those appearances coming as a substitute.

Kalou joins the French side on a four-year contract after the team finished third in Ligue 1 last season.

"LOSC formalizes the arrival of Salomon Kalou, who has this morning made the traditional medical visit after his arrival at Domaine de Luchin yesterday," read a statement on Lille's official website. "The contract of the 26-year-old European champion is four seasons. The former Chelsea player is committed to the club until 2016."

In addition to winning multiple titles with Chelsea, including the Champions League this past season, Kalou has been capped 50 times by the Ivory Coast.
