Turin, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Juventus cruised past AC Milan with ease as the club's 3-1 home victory at Juventus Stadium on Saturday extended its lead at the Serie A summit to 10 points.
Carlos Tevez broke the deadlock in the 14th minute when he beat the offside trap to get through on goal and slide a shot past Diego Lopez on the fast break.
Luca Antonelli responded for Milan by nodding home Alessio Cerci's corner kick in the 28th minute, but Juventus restored its lead just three minutes later when Leonardo Bonucci headed home a failed clearance following a corner kick.
The dagger came in the 65th minute when Claudio Marchisio's shot from distance rattled the base of the post, but Alvaro Morata was arriving to tuck home the uncontested rebound.
The win lifts Juventus to 53 points on the season, putting the club 10 points clear of second-place AS Roma.
AC Milan, meanwhile, stays put in ninth place with 29 points.
Also on Saturday, Torino produced a commanding display at the Stadio M.A. Bentegodi to claim a 3-1 victory over Hellas Verona.
Josef Martinez gave Torino the lead in the 32nd minute while Fabio Quagliarella doubled the advantage from the spot five minutes into the second half.
Luca Toni brought Verona back into the match with a goal seven minutes from time, but Omar El Kaddouri put the result on ice by providing an insurance goal at the death.
