Jets lose Leonhard for rest of season

New York Jets safety Jim Leonhard will miss the rest of the season with a torn patella tendon in his right knee.

Leonhard had 48 tackles and one interception in 13 games for the Jets this season. He suffered the injury during Sunday's win over Kansas City.

"You feel absolutely terrible for him," Jets head coach Rex Ryan said. "His leadership is going to be missed."

Brodney Pool, who will start in Leonhard's place, has 31 tackles in 11 contests this year for New York.
