NEW YORK (AP) The New York Jets keep rising in the AP Pro32 power rankings, and are up to No. 6 heading into their AFC East matchup against the top-ranked New England Patriots.
New England again is the solid choice at No. 1 following its 34-27 win over Indianapolis. The Patriots (5-0) received nine first-place votes and 381 points in balloting by the 12 media members who regularly cover the league. New York improved to 4-1 after its 34-20 win over Washington and improved two spots.
Green Bay and Cincinnati remain 2-3, both with 6-0 records. The Packers have three first-place votes and 368 points, six points ahead of the Bengals. Carolina (5-0) moves up three places to fourth, followed by Denver (6-0), the lowest ranked of the NFL's five unbeaten teams.
Defending NFC champion Seattle (2-4) drops five spots the No. 15. Jacksonville (1-5) is No. 32.
