(SportsNetwork.com) - The Utah Jazz shoot for a third straight win when they host the Denver Nuggets Wednesday in Salt Lake City.

The Jazz have recorded back-to-back wins following a four-game slide and posted a 104-84 triumph at Minnesota on Monday.

Trevor Booker had 17 points and 13 rebounds, Gordon Hayward netted 22 points to go with six boards, five assists and four steals, and Rudy Gobert added 15 points and 12 rebounds for Utah, which has won nine of the last 14 games.

"What defines these next eight games is find out how we can improve," Jazz coach Quin Snyder said.

Utah, which is officially out of the playoff race, is back home where it owns an 18-19 record and will visit Phoenix and Sacramento next.

Jazz forward Derrick Favors (back) is questionable Wednesday and guard Rodney Hood (concussion) is doubtful.

The Nuggets are also playing out the string and opened a three-game road trip with Saturday's 120-114 setback to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Denver was led by Jameer Nelson's 22 points off the bench and Randy Foye followed with 17 points. Kenneth Faried recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Wilson Chandler and Ty Lawson scored 13 points apiece in defeat.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 32 points and 11 rebounds to pace Portland.

"He's a great player and put us in tough situations," Nelson said of Aldridge.

The Blazers had a 45-39 rebounding edge and a 52-46 points in the paint advantage.

Denver has lost five of its last seven games and will close the trip Friday at San Antonio. The Nuggets are 11-26 away from the Rockies this season and have lost four of their last five away from home.

Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari (shoulder) is questionable Wednesday.

Denver is 2-1 against Utah this season.
