Toronto Blue Jays starter J.A. Happ was taken off the field by stretcher after he was struck in the side of the head by a line drive.
Happ was immediately floored when Desmond Jennings' rip ricocheted off his head and into right field for a triple. Blood was seen coming from the pitcher's head and trainers immediately swarmed the mound.
The left-hander was immobilized but his hands were moving. He waved to the crowd before leaving the playing field.
