Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Jacksonville Jaguars placed running back Denard Robinson on injured reserve Tuesday.

Robinson had started eight straight games before the Jaguars announced last Wednesday that he would miss the rest of the season with a mid-foot sprain.

The 24-year-old former Michigan quarterback leads the Jaguars with 582 yards rushing in 13 games this season, including nine starts. He carried the ball 135 times, scoring four touchdowns, and had 23 catches for 124 yards.

As a rookie fifth-round draft pick last year, Robinson had just 20 carries for 66 yards in 16 games. He ended his four-year career at Michigan with the NCAA quarterback record for rushing yards.
