ST MORITZ, Switzerland (Reuters) - World super-G champion Didier Cuche said he was still capable of challenging for Olympic medals next month despite breaking his thumb.
The Swiss broke his right thumb in a crash in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, on Friday and had an operation in a Zurich clinic where medical checks also showed slight knee injuries.
"Chances are I can still fight for a medal," Cuche told reporters on Sunday.
The Vancouver Olympics run from February 12-28.
