Indians sign Andy LaRoche to minor league deal

Cleveland, OH – The Cleveland Indians have signed infielder roster invitation to major league spring training.

LaRoche, 28, spent last season with Oakland. He hit .247 with a .320 on-base percentage and five RBI in 40 games, and was outrighted to Triple-A Sacramento in June.

In 403 games over five seasons with the Dodgers, Pirates and A's, LaRoche has hit .226 with 22 homers and 113 RBI.
