Indianapolis re-signed tight end Weslye Saunders to the active roster Tuesday.

The move comes three months after the Colts (5-2) waived Saunders after he was suspended eight games by the league for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy. He has six career receptions for 44 yards and one touchdown in 27 career games. Last season with Indy, Saunders caught two passes for 15 yards.

Indy also signed offensive tackle Xavier Nixon to the practice squad one day after he was cut from the active roster.

The Colts also waived cornerback Daxton Swanson, an undrafted rookie, from injured reserve.
