Philadelphia, PA – The Indiana Hoosiers scored three runs in the first inning and went on to post a 6-1 victory over the Austin Peay Governors in the Bloomington Regional Final.
Kyle Schwarber went 1-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored and Sam Travis went 2-for-4 as the only player for Indiana (46-14) with a multi-hit game. Will Coursen-Carr got the win for the Hoosiers by allowing just one run in his 5 1/3 innings of work.
Indiana will take on Florida State in Super Regionals next weekend.
Kevin Corey allowed three runs and lasted just a single inning in taking the loss for Austin Peay (47-15). The Governors topped Valparaiso, 5-4, earlier in the day to get into the regional final.
