Calgary Flames forward Jarome Iginla, Minnesota Wild goaltender Matt Hackett and Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson have been named the NHL's 'Three Stars' for the week ending December 11.

Iginla earned First Star honors with a pair of multi-goal games last week as the Flames won three in a row. He has four goals and nine points over his last five games.

Hackett was named Second Star after filling in for injured goalies Niklas Backstrom and Josh Harding. He made his NHL debut Tuesday against the Sharks after Harding was hurt early in the game. Hackett proceeded to stop all 34 shots he faced the rest of the way as Minnesota pulled out a 2-1 win. Hackett got his first start two nights later, finishing with 42 saves in a 4-2 victory over the Kings.

Carlson was Third Star after recording one goal and seven points for the Capitals last week.
