Agadir, Morocco (SportsNetwork.com) - Charley Hull fired a 9-under 62 on Sunday and that helped her force a playoff with Gwladys Nocera at the Lalla Meryem Cup.
Nocera, the third-round leader, posted a 4-under 67 at Golf de l'Ocean to end alongside Hull at 15-under-par 269. Nocera bogeyed the par-3 18th to force the extra session.
The duo returned to the 18th for the playoff. Hull drained a 4-foot birdie effort to beat Nocera and pick up her first professional title a week before she turns 18 years old.
Hull birdied the first and second. After three pars in a row, she followed an eagle on the par-5 sixth with a birdie on the seventh to move to 11-under.
The teenager birdied the ninth and 11th before back-to-back birdies from the 16th got her to minus-15. Hull parred the last to end there.
Nocera had five birdies in the first 13 holes and was on her way to her 13th Ladies European Tour title. However, Nocera 3-putted for bogey on the 18th and the dropped her into the playoff.
Sophie Giquel-Bettan managed a 2-under 69 in the final round and she ended alone in third at minus-11. Lee-Anne Pace (66) and Hannah Burke (66) shared fourth place at 10-under-par 274.
