Alfonzo Hubbard scored 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting and Utah Valley shot over 60 percent from the field in an 83-62 win over Houston Baptist on Saturday night.
Utah Valley (9-10, 1-1 Great West) led 42-33 at the break but returned to the floor in the second half to go on a 19-9 run capped by Jason Johnson's 3-pointer with 11:04 remaining in the game to give the Wolverines a 61-42 lead.
Rob Lewis' jumper cut Utah Valley's lead to eight at 68-60 but the Wolverines used a 15-2 run over the final 4:45 to close out the win.
Ben Aird scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Utah Valley, which hit 29 of 48 shots on the night for a 60.4 percent mark and was 18 of 25 from the free-throw line.
Art Bernardi had 17 points and Lewis had 13 to lead Houston Baptist (4-12, 0-2).
