Jasmine Patterson scored 18 points to lead New Mexico (5-5) and Morgan Toben added 12 points.

Joanna McFarland had 13 rebounds for the Sooners and added nine points.

After back-to-back jump balls, New Mexico regained possession with 16 seconds left and a one-point lead. Lobos forward Jessica Kelpinkski missed the front end of a one-and-one to give Oklahoma a chance.
