Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain will miss the next month because of a thigh injury, while fellow forward Karim Benzema continues to recover from a hamstring problem.

Higuain sustained the injury in Real's 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday after he collided with goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller and had to be replaced at halftime.

The injury means that Real will likely be without both Higuain and Benzema for its upcoming La Liga match with Levante as Madrid sits eight points back of leaders Barcelona ahead of this weekend.

Higuain is second on Real with seven goals in 10 league games.
