Hedwall wins by four in Austria

Caroline Hedwall posted an under 64 on Sunday to win the UNIQA Ladies Golf Open by four strokes.

Hedwall finished the tournament at 12-under 204 for her third title in her maiden year on tour at Golfclub Forenwaldh. She trailed by seven entering the day, but overnight leader Kaisa Ruuttila faltered, as did Caroline Afonso, who entered the day down one stroke.

Ruuttila stumbled to a four-over 76 to fall to a share of third at seven- under, while Afonso's two-over 74 was good enough for runner-up at minus- eight. Neither challenged Hedwall down the stretch after her round of an eagle, seven birdies and a bogey.

Hedwall, a European Solheim Cup team member, added this title to the Allianz Ladies Slovak Open and the Finnair Masters she earned earlier this year on the Ladies European Tour. After winning the LET's Final Qualifying School last December, Hedwall also won her pro debut on the Australian Tour at the New South Wales Open.

Melissa Reid (71), Linda Wessberg (71) and Giulia Sergas (73) shared third with Ruuttila. Karen Lunn (70) was fifth at five-under 211.
