Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside was ejected from Monday's game against Boston after knocking Celtics center Kelly Olynyk to the floor.

Whiteside drew a Flagrant 2 foul on the play, which came with 2:45 remaining in the third quarter.

The two centers made contact near the foul line, where Whiteside appeared to use his elbow to shove Olynyk's arm away. Olynyk reacted by throwing his hands up, then turned to follow a Heat player to the basket. Whiteside trailed him and accelerated, driving his body into Olynyk's back and knocking him to the floor near the padded stanchion.

Whiteside has made a big impact since the Heat signed him seemingly out of nowhere in November. He had not appeared in an NBA game since April 2012.
